The parcel has been delivered and you want to test your new bike as soon as possible? With the right tools, setting up your Hobo is quick and easy. Here you can find out step by step what you need and how the assembly works.
Take your Hobo and all the parts out of the box. In the manual you will find instructions on the assembly and the required torques.
Unfold the kickstand and set the bike upright.
Remove the packaging material. For zip ties, use diagonal cutting pliers or scissors.
Step 2: Adjusting the stem:
Loosen the side stem screws (see illustration) using an Allen key.
Hold the wheel with one hand and turn the stem so that it is aligned straight with the wheel.
Now tighten the clamping screws alternately to 6 Nm using a torque wrench.
Step 3: Adjusting the handlebar
Loosen the handlebar clamp bolts on the stem (see illustration) using an Allen key.
Turn the handlebars upward until they are straight.
Now tighten the clamping screws alternately in a crisscross pattern using a torque wrench to 6 Nm.
Step 4: Installing the pedals
Check the markings on the pedal sides (usually stamped with "L" and "R"), pick up the left pedal, and apply a little grease to the pedal thread.
Insert an 6 mm hex wrench from the back through the crank arm, place it on the pedal axle and tighten the pedal by turning it clockwise.
Repeat this process with the right pedal. Note that the right pedal is screwed in anti-clockwise.
Tighten both pedals to 35 Nm. Use the switch function on the torque wrench for this.
