The CAGE JACKET lifestyle sunglasses from OAKLEY drew their inspiration from the archives, as they pick up on design elements from the past and interpret them in a modern way – a timeless silhouette, reimagined for the here and now. The sunglasses score with sophisticated details: Ventilation openings in the side eye area improve air circulation, while cut-outs on the temples add visual depth and reduce weight. The injection-moulded O-MATTER frame offers more stability and flexibility than conventional acetate and permanently retains its shape without warping. UNOBTANIUM temple tips also ensure the sunglasses are extremely comfortable to wear: They provide additional grip when sweating and prevent the glasses from slipping.

Highlights & Technologies:

O-MATTER:
The lightweight and very comfortable O-MATTER frame material increases protection and provides a flexible fit. The temples also have a very flat profile so that they fit perfectly under a helmet or cap.

UNOBTAINIUM:
A hydrophilic material used for nose pads and temple ends. The grip increases as the level of moisture (sweat) rises. 

POLARIZED:
Polarized lenses filter extreme reflections of smooth, reflective surfaces like wet roads, water or snow. OAKLEY has revolutionized the Polarized technology with a unique manufacturing process where the polarization filter is directly coated with liquid Plutonite material. The result: No distortions or glare.

PRIZM EVERYDAY:
PRIZM is an OAKLEY lens technology that offers optimized visibility for specific kinds of sports and activities by fine-tuning individual wavelengths of colour. As it emphasizes colours where the eye is most sensitive to detail, PRIZM improves performance and safety. Thanks to the use of specially manufactured lens tints, the OAKLEY PRIZM technology is able to filter light that affects vision in a negative way and to emphasize colours required for perfect performance/vision. The PRIZM technology fine-tunes vision for specific sports and environments and thus sharpens visual acuity to reveal nuances that would be missed by the naked eye. Particularly in urban environments, constantly changing light conditions lead to rapid eye fatigue. PRIZM EVERYDAY lenses have been developed to compensate for this, as they improve comfort in changing light conditions. Two different base colours are offered: Grey Base and Bronze Base. The grey lenses provide better colour vision in a natural environment, while the bronze-coloured lenses make the hues appear warmer.

HDO:
OAKLEY has developed High Definition Optics (HDO). This term refers to a number of patented lens technologies developed in-house for special optical accuracy and fidelity. However, the HDO technology stands out not only for precision. It also stands out for innovations concerning impact resistance meeting strict safety standards and ensuring 100% filtering of UV light. OAKLEY HDO protects the eyes and makes sure visual information will reach the brain with maximum precision.

PLUTONITE:
These are extremely pure materials that maximise clarity and impact resistance and filter 100% of all UV-A, UV-B and UV-C rays and harmful blue light up to 400 nm. The UV protection is not achieved by a coating, but by the lens material itself.
