The EPS inner shell, with zones of varying density and elasticity, offers reliable protection in a range of impact scenarios. In addition, the MIPS system helps to reduce rotational forces. At the same time, the helmet impresses with its low weight and the STACC ventilation system, which keeps your head cool even on longer rides.

Sweet Protection’s 360 OCCIGRIP adjustment system ensures a perfect fit, allowing you to easily adjust the width and height. Silicone prints on the front of the helmet keep the glasses securely in place, whilst the magnetic FIDLOCK fastening makes opening and closing particularly easy.

MIPS: WHAT IS MIPS?
MIPS (Multi-Directional Impact Protection System) is a slip-plane system within the helmet. It is designed to rotate inside the helmet and thus slow down or reduce the impact energy acting on the brain, which helps reduce head injuries caused by rotational impacts.
WHY IS MIPS IMPORTANT?
When a head rotates quickly and comes to a sudden stop, the rotational acceleration may cause the brain tissue to experience high levels of strain. This stretching of the tissue caused by these motions may result in various types of brain injury. MIPS is designed with the intent to address rotational acceleration from impact.
HOW DOES MIPS WORK?
MIPS uses a slip-plane system that moves inside the helmet, mimicking the brain’s own protection system. This layer is designed to rotate inside the helmet with the intent to potentially slow down or reduce the amount of energy transferred to or from the head. Science tells us that if we can reduce the strains associated with rotational acceleration, we might reduce the risk and severity of brain injury.

360 OCCIGRIP:
The fitting system creates a customised fit that can be easily adjusted on the go with the help of the dial. The sizing system runs completely around your head on a horizontal axis. Thanks to its slim design, it is barely noticeable and yet particularly effective. In the 360 version, the Sweet Protection system also has an on the fly height adjustment for an even better fit.

STACC:
The ventilation channels in this helmet extend from the front to the back of the head. They are positioned in such a way that air is channelled along the superficial temporal artery in particular. The five letters stand for “Superficial Temporal Arteries Cooling Channel”. In this way, the air flow cools the head for a long time and ensures a pleasant feeling on hot days.

FIDLOCK:
FIDLOCK is a self-closing magnetic closure that ensures quick and secure opening and closing of the helmet, even with a single hand or when wearing gloves. Thanks to the Fidlock system, the closure shuts automatically and prevents the skin from being pinched.
