Wide range. Tight control.

The Shimano Deore XT rear derailleur works with the 9-45T cassette to provide a wide gear range with closely spaced gear ratios. Precise gear changes ensure that you remain just as efficient on fast sections as you do on steep climbs.

Aero meets clearance.

The Rose GC50 carbon wheels were specially developed for the Backroad FF and tested in the virtual wind tunnel. With 45 mm wide Maxxis Reaver tyres, this setup is designed for control, efficiency and maximum versatility on fast gravel routes.

Precision in every turn.

With its 42-tooth chainring, the Shimano GRX Di2 1x12 focuses on direct power transfer and a clear gear progression. The 4iiii Precision 3+ power meter measures your performance in real time, while the Wolftooth chain guide keeps the chain exactly where it should be.

Classification

Classification

Category 2

This category applies to bicycles and e-bikes* that meet the conditions of category 1 and are ridden on normal roads as well as in category 2 on unpaved roads and gravel paths with moderate inclines and descents. The tyres are in constant contact with the ground at average speed and they are only occasionally ridden over steps and drops of less than 15 cm. These conditions can lead to contact with uneven terrain and the tyre repeatedly losing contact with the ground. The intended use is, for example, recreational riding. You don’t require any special riding skills.

Average speed 15 to 25 km/h

Height of steps and drops: < 15 cm
