Maxxis RE-Fuse [Gen.2] TR MAXXSHIELD DUAL COMPOUND Folding Gravel Tyre

The MAXXIS Re-Fuse [Gen.2] is a versatile all-road and gravel tyre for fast rides beyond perfect asphalt conditions. The smooth centre tread enables particularly efficient rolling behaviour on asphalt, while micro knobs on the sides provide additional grip in bends and on changing surfaces.

As the second generation, the Re-Fuse is designed with a stronger focus on speed and efficient rolling behaviour on paved surfaces, but still offers reserves on rough asphalt and light gravel, thanks to its tread design.

This makes the tyre particularly suitable for fast all-road setups, long distances and modern endurance bikes with high tyre clearance. The construction is complemented by the revised hot-patch design.


Technologies:

• MAXXSHIELD
MaxxShield is a puncture protection system from MAXXIS for road bike tyres with a focus on increased protection for training and everyday use. The design combines SilkShield all-round protection from rim edge to rim edge with the K2 protective layer, a lightweight and tightly woven protective layer with high puncture and cut resistance.

• DUAL COMPOUND
With the Dual Compound, MAXXIS uses two different rubber compounds in one tread. The properties and arrangement of the compounds are tailored to the respective area of use of the tyre. Depending on the tyre category, different dual compound constructions are used, which can differ significantly between gravel and downhill tyres, for example.

• TUBELESS READY [TR] 
In the MAXXIS range, Tubeless Ready [TR] refers to tyres with a construction that is designed for tubeless use with a sealant, a compatible tubeless rim or matching rim tape. The system enables lower air pressures and is intended to improve traction and ride quality, while reducing the rolling resistance. In addition, minor damages can be sealed directly by the sealant, which reduces the risk of breakdowns.
