Maxxis IKON TR EXO 3C MaxxSpeed MTB Folding Tyre

With its combination of high volume, fast rolling behaviour and grip, the MAXXIS Ikon is designed for XC and trail use on a wide variety of terrain. The tread design offers a balanced ratio of efficiency, control and traction.

The Ikon works on hard to loose surfaces and is suitable for both front and rear wheels. Its predictable handling and versatile design make it a reliable all-rounder for fast XC laps, long tours and varied trails.

In this version, the Ikon combines EXO Protection with the 3C MaxxSpeed rubber compound for cross-country and trail use with a focus on low rolling resistance, efficient power transfer and additional cornering grip on fast XC routes and versatile trails.


Technologies:

• EXO PROTECTION
EXO Protection is an extremely cut- and abrasion-resistant protective layer on the sidewall of selected MTB, Gravel and Metro tyres from MAXXIS. The tightly woven material is designed to be both light and flexible, so that the performance of the tyres is affected as little as possible.

• 3C MaxxSpeed
This is the fastest 3C compound by MAXXIS for cross-country and some all-mountain / enduro tyres. With its hard base layer and its fast centre compound, it is designed for low rolling resistance. However, the softer shoulder compounds also provide good grip – even in wet conditions.

• TUBELESS READY [TR] 
In the MAXXIS range, Tubeless Ready [TR] refers to tyres with a construction that is designed for tubeless use with a sealant, a compatible tubeless rim or matching rim tape. The system enables lower air pressures and is intended to improve traction and ride quality, while reducing the rolling resistance. In addition, minor damages can be sealed directly by the sealant, which reduces the risk of breakdowns.
